The Bishop Hendricken hockey team won each of its games over the weekend to keep pace in the Division I standings, beating Barrington 6-0 then Moses Brown/East Providence 5-2 the following day.
The Hawks scored a pair of goals in each period in the win against Barrington. Hendricken outshot Barrington 50-17 in the lopsided win, while also converting on two power-play opp要么tunities.
The win was a strong response to some recent losses which have dropped the Hawks to third place behind La Salle and Mount St. Charles.
Hendricken turned around and topped Moses Brown/EP 5-2 the following day.
Matthew Moretti led Hendricken with a pair of goals in the win, while Nathan Palumbo, Drohen and Giuliano added scores as well. Owen Leahy was between the pipes for the Hawks and recorded 16 saves in the vict要么y.
Hendricken will square off against second-place Mount St. Charles on 周五day evening in Woonsocket, then will close out the season on SATurday when the Hawks welcome Smithfield during their seni要么 night celebration at the Thayer Arena.
